Ousmane Sonko Elected Senegalese Parliamentary President
Ousmane Sonko was elected president of Senegal's National Assembly by overwhelming majority (132 of 133 votes) days after being dismissed from his position as Prime Minister by President Bassirou Diomaye Faye.
